Protecting Your Purity

1. Avoud the slippery slope of sexual sin.

     A. David became desensitized to sexual sin.

        2 Samuel 5:13

 

     B. David became irresponsible.

        2 Samuel 11:1-3

 

     C. David commits mental adultery.

        James 1:15; 2 Samuel 11:2-3; 2 Samuel 23:34; 2 Samuel 16:23, 23:20

 

     D. Davide commits the physical adultery.

 

 

2. Have a solid defense against sexual immorality.

     A. Do nut trust yourself!

        1 Corinthians 10:12

 

     B. Build "hedges" around your marriage (or purity if you are single).

 

 

     C. Have an aggressive offense.

         1 Corinthians 7:3-5
