Five Excuses For Not Giving to God
1. God owns it all.

2. There are five excuses in this passage that people use for not giving to God's church.
A. Procrastination: "I will give tomorrow."
2 Corinthians 8;10-11
B. Hesitation: "I am just not ready to give today."
2 Corinthians 8:12a
C. Inabiilty: "I am not able to give as much as I would like to give or as much as others give, so I am not going to give at all."
2 Corinthians 8:12b; Mark 12:41-44
D. Exception: "Since others have more than I have, I am not responsible to give."
2 Corinthians 8:13-15; Exodus 16:18
E. Integrity: "I do not trust that the money I give is being used wisely."
2 Corinthians 8:16-24
3. Here are three questions for you to answer:
A. Do you acknowledge that God owns it all?
B. Are you hiding behind procrastination, hesitation, inability, exception or integrity as an excuse for not giving to our church?
C. Will you honor God with your income?
