4. Come to the Lord's table anticipating Christ's return. 1 Cor 11:26

5. Come to the Lord's table loving God's people. 1 Cor 11:27-34

Celebrating the Lord's Supper

  1. The Lord's Supper was established by Christ (1 Cor. 11:23-24).
  2. The Lord's Supper is for believers in Christ (1 Cor. 11:26, 17-20, 20, 33-34).
  3. The physical action of the Lord's Supper is eating the bread and drinking the cup (1 Cor. 11:23-25).
  4. The mental action of the Lord's Supper is focusing on Christ's death for our sins (1 Cor. 11:24-25).
  5. The spiritual action of the Lord's Supper is feasting on the benefits that Christ purchased with his blood (1 Cor. 10:16-18).
  6. The atmosphere of the Lord's Supper is intentional reflection that is both serious and joyful (1 Cor. 11:27-32).

      life is to proclaim Christ to the world.  1 Corinthians 11:26

5.  Come to the Lord’s table having carefully examined your
